Great set for my dogs. Seems like they would be just as good for kids. I'm so sick of the wooden and plastic pressure dividers for door frames. They are difficult to use quickly and easily and they always break or fall apart. THESE DIVIDERS ARE A GAME CHANGER. Pros: Easy to install. Can be installed on the outside of the door panel or inside of the door frame. Already set up so it's out of the way of wall baseboards. About 36 inches tall. Extends to about 55 inches for longer door openings. The divider locks into place once extended and secured. This prevents the material from expanding while also blocking the doorstep opening. Or it prevents a child from pulling the material out when you don't want them to. The material seems sturdy and durable. The material seems easy to clean. The spring loaded return mechanism feels sturdy. The locking mechanism gives me confidence. I would recommend this product for the money. It's a little pricey, but the quality seems worth it. Should last a long time and serve its purpose well.June 20, 2024

Be careful when fitting. Didn't take into account where the brackets would be on the other side where the gate hooks into. It all worked out though, I love the gate! I'm replacing all my hard metal gates in my house with these, also it comes with an extra set of hardware so you can easily move the gate to another location so you need fewer gates! Like I said, I love this gate, will definitely be buying more in addition to the 2 I already have!June 15, 2024

Works well. When my sister comes to visit, she brings her dogs. This gate works well to keep them out of the living room, which has a wider opening than the other areas of our house. The only downside is that it needs to be installed. For this reason, I keep my other gates for the other doorways.June 6, 2024

Nice compact replacement for those metal gates. I've been using those metal gates that swing outward more as gates for toddlers. Those metal swing gates worked, but they took up some space, and my kids kept tripping over the small threshold. This Aitatty retractable gate requires drilling into the wall. It's a little more involved to install, but the end result is much more compact and cleaner than the old metal swing gates. It really makes the room feel more open. Paper templates and all installation tools are included. All you need is a drill to install the wall anchors and screws. Just make sure to install the hooks in the right orientation. The locking mechanism is also much easier to operate, it just locks the retractable gate in place. Overall, I think this is an improvement over the metal swing gates for my kids at their current age. The mesh gate acts more as a perceived barrier than a physical barrier. If you're at the age where your kids won't crash through that mesh barrier, this thing is for you.May 28, 2024

Keeps the dog out of our basement! Works well. Can be operated with one hand. Keeps the dog out. Even in the locked position, there is enough give that a small animal or person could slip under it. My 2 and 5 year olds go under it, but that's OK because we only use it for our dog.May 28, 2024

Cute way to block off a room! I broke my elbow tripping over a cheap wooden baby gate. I still get PTSD when I see these stupid things. After our older dog started having accidents in the kids' rooms, we had to block off their rooms. But I just couldn't get those wooden gates out. This is the perfect alternative. Our kids (5, 7, and 8) can open it easily, but the dogs stay out. Super cute!May 27, 2024
